Taylor Swift is the most famous artist associated with the NFL, and many fans were clamoring for her to do the halftime show at this year’s Super Bowl in New Orleans. Those fans did not get their wish.
However, Kendrick Lamar was chosen to perform at halftime during Super Bowl 59, and many fans claimed that the performance was underwhelming. Not only that, but it was all just a shot at fellow rapper Drake.
Many fans claim that Swift, who just finished her billion-dollar Era’s Tour in December, would have done a way better job. And while that could very much be the case, the odds of her performing at the half have now been revealed.
Even though many fans called Lamar’s half-time performance ‘the worst in Super Bowl history,’ there was essentially no shot that Swift would have taken his place to perform at the Superdome on gameday.
Travis Kelce Is The Main Reason Taylor Swift won’t Perform A Super Bowl Half-Time Show

In an interview with the DailyMail, a source close to Taylor said that she prefers to wait and that Travis Kelce, her well-known boyfriend, is out of the NFL. “She doesn’t want to do it now until Travis is fully retired, as she would like to support him at the game rather than perform at it.”
“When she eventually performs at it, she wants all her loved ones to be able to experience it. And as long as Travis is in the league, the Chiefs have a chance to be in the game,” the source said, confirming that she won’t do it until her boyfriend retires.
While Kelce could retire as early as next year, many fans seem to think that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank—so much so that he could play another year in the league. Yet it remains unclear whether or not he will retire. Until then, fans must wait for a Taylor Swift half-time show.
