The Pittsburgh Steelers have already been without George Pickens for two straight games and it’s not looking promising at the moment that he’ll suit up in a pivotal AFC North showdown against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.
Pickens missed a second consecutive practice Wednesday — it was a walkthrough — due to a hamstring injury. The Steelers’ offense didn’t look the same against the Philadelphia Eagles with Pickens absent as Russell Wilson threw for only 128 yards in the loss.
While Pickens’ status should be concerning for the Steelers, they did get good news on star linebacker T.J. Watt. Watt returned to the practice field Wednesday and was listed as a limited participant after suffering an ankle injury late in the loss to the Eagles.
Here is the Steelers’ full injury report:
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
QB Justin Fields, Abdominal
WR George Pickens, Hamstring
S DeShon Elliott, Hamstring
CB Donte Jackson, Back
LB Elandon Roberts, NIR — Resting
DT Cameron Heyward, NIR — Resting
LIMITED PARTICIPANT
LB T.J. Watt, Ankle
DT Larry Ogunjobi, Groin
The Ravens have a few concerns of their own on the injury front. Lamar Jackson’s pass-catching group could be diminished as Rashod Bateman (foot) was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and Nelson Agholor (concussion) was held out of the session. Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (hamstring) didn’t practice while guard Daniel Faalele (knee) and outside linebacker Odafe Oweh (ankle) were limited participants.
Kickoff for the Week 16 matchup from M&T Bank Stadium is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
