President Donald Trump offered strong praise for Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, and mother, Randi, in a new interview with Clay Travis.

Unlike many other high-profile athletes, Patrick Mahomes has avoided publicly discussing politics and refused to endorse a candidate for the 2020 or 2024 presidential elections. On the contrary, Brittany and Randi haven’t at all tried to hide their support for the polarizing president.

During his interview with Travis, Donald Trump called Brittany and Randi “loyal” and “great women.” The president of the United States mentioned how he met Patrick’s mother at one of the Chiefs’ games:

“I love those two women – they’re so great. And they’re so loyal. They’re so great. I met Patrick’s mother at the game, before the game started she came over. And Brittany, I’ve seen so much of Brittany, just being so loyal and beautiful. It’s really nice.”

Trump spoke to Fox News’ Bret Baier before Super Bowl 59. He also raved about Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, calling the former “a phenomenal wife”. Trump predicted the Chiefs to win Super Bowl 59, but they were instead crushed by the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22.

Social media detectives discovered Brittany’s support for Donald Trump when they noticed her “liking” posts about the Republican nominee and his campaign. Brittany defended her political views and said you can disagree and still love someone.

Brittany appears to have a good relationship with Taylor Swift, who’s in a highly publicized romance with Travis Kelce. In contrast to Brittany and Randi, Swift is a vocal Trump critic who endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

Notable NFL players like Nick Bosa and Gardner Minshew II publicly endorsed Trump for his 2024 campaign. Former players like Brett Favre, Jay Cutler, Brian Urlacher, Lawrence Taylor and Antonio Brown also voiced their support for Trump.

But Patrick Mahomes has, and probably for the best, decided to avoid discussing politics publicly. He knows that he’ll divide a large portion of his fanbase if he openly endorsed a candidate, after all.
