Prayers Are Pouring In For Kenny Pickett On Sunday

The Philadelphia Eagles have already lost one quarterback to injury in Jalen Hurts, who is missing Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with a possible concussion. Now, the Eagles have lost another one, in Kenny Pickett.

Pickett, the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, was knocked out of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Pickett, taken in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, appeared to suffer an injury to his midsection. Pickett was banged up in the first half, but returned to the game. During a third down attempt in the third quarter, Pickett took a hit from Cowboys star Micah Parsons.

The Eagles backup quarterback, starting in place of Hurts, appeared to be in serious pain. He has since gone into the locker room with an apparent injury.

“Kenny Pickett, who had a ribs injury earlier this week, is headed to the locker room. He’s questionable with the same issue,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported.

NFL fans are hoping that everything is OK with Pickett. He had been playing well prior to his injury, throwing for 143 yards and one touchdown, as the Eagles lead the Cowboys, 27-7.

“Prayers to Pickett he was balling,” one fan wrote.

“Prayers up for Kenny Pickett,” one fan added.

“All jokes aside, Pickett actually looked really good today. Praying he heals up,” one fan added.

The opportunity to start on Sunday was a big one for Pickett, who is hoping to re-start his NFL career in Philadelphia, after busting in Pittsburgh.

Legendary Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw made headlines earlier on Sunday, when he said that his old team made a mistake in letting Pickett leave.

“Pittsburgh should have never gotten rid of [Kenny] Pickett,” Bradshaw said on FOX NFL Sunday.

That might be an exaggeration from Bradshaw, though Pickett did look good early against the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully, his injury against the Cowboys isn’t too serious. The Eagles are set to win the NFC East with a win over Dallas on Sunday afternoon.
