The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the teams interested in recently-released Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Diontae Johnson. Johnson was cut after he refused to go into the team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles and was promptly suspended.

The Steelers, the Los Angeles Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs all seem interested in Johnson to help bolster their wide receiver room. The Steelers are also one of the teams that would like to land him, but with the waiver system, it would seem that the Chargers are currently the favorites.

“There are a couple of teams to watch,” Rapoport said. “The Chargers and the Chiefs, and maybe his old team the Pittsburgh Steelers as well.”

Since the Carolina Panthers traded him to Baltimore, Johnson had been frustrated with his usage on the team. Now, Johnson’s fate seems decided, and he is out of Baltimore and will land with a new team soon.

Johnson was traded by the Steelers to the Panthers in March for Donte Jackson. Jackson has five picks for the Steelers, while Johnson is now going to be on his third team of the season after Monday.
