Kenny Pickett made his first start of the season for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and it was a dream for the 26-year-old quarterback.
Growing up in Ocean Township, New Jersey, Pickett was an Eagles fan. Starting in place of an injured Jalen Hurts yesterday, Pickett threw for 143 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another score as he helped lead his childhood favorite team to a 41-7 victory and the NFC East title. Pickett was even playing hurt, but it didn’t matter.
“I’m good. I’m good. I’ll be alright,” Pickett said after the game. “Came in with a little bit of an injury and we’ll do some more tests and everything, see how it looks. But I’ll be OK.”
One of Pickett’s biggest fans was in attendance on Sunday, as usual. His wife Amy, a former college soccer player at Princeton, earned some attention at Lincoln Financial Field in her customized Kelly green top with Pickett’s name and number on the back.
“So fly @kennypickett8,” she wrote in her Instagram post showing off the outfit.

“#1 fan❤️,” Pickett wrote in the comments section under his wife’s post.
The Picketts have been together for several years now, and back in June, celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
“Happy first wedding anniversary @kennypickett8 !! You are the easiest person to love. Being your wife is my greatest blessing 🤍,” Amy Pickett wrote on IG at the time.

Like her husband, Amy grew up in Monmouth County in New Jersey, starring in soccer at Wall before going the Ivy League route.
