NFL legend Cris Carter won’t be attending any games at Lincoln Financial Field anytime soon, citing concerns about unruly behavior from Philadelphia Eagles fans.
Carter, whose illustrious NFL career began with the Eagles before he became a Hall of Famer with the Minnesota Vikings, said he would have stayed away even if his two former teams had faced off in the playoffs.
Instead, the Eagles will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday after Sean McVay’s team impressively eliminated the Vikings in the Wild Card Round.
Sorry, Rams, but this story isn’t about you.
So get that shit out of your heads.
You can’t interfere with what doesn’t belong to you.

In an interview on CasinoApps, Carter was blunt about his reasons for avoiding the Eagles’ notorious home turf.
“I don’t think the Philly fans are going to change the way they live their life,” Carter said. “There have been many people that have been assaulted by Philly fans. Even if Minnesota had won that [playoff] game, I wouldn’t go to Philly.
“I wouldn’t go to a game even if I was sitting in the owner’s box. They are in your face, and if you are wearing opposing colors, it’s even worse.”

Of course, Carter’s comments were prompted by a recent incident during the last Sunday’s Eagles-Packers game in Philly.
A female Packers fan, Ally Keller, endured harassment from an Eagles supporter who hurled vulgar insults at her.
Keller said she hesitated to respond further, fearing retaliation in a stadium packed with Eagles fans.
“There’s no women. There’s nobody defending me. There’s all Eagles fans allowing this to happen,” Keller said. “So, I didn’t want to turn around and yell at this guy and then have my fiancé get jumped in the crowd.
“So I was I guess trying to stay calm, but I was pretty fuming at that point and just hopeful that another fan would tell this guy to stop. And everyone just kind of stood around and I guess allowed him to call me that name.”

The Eagles organization acted swiftly, banning the offending fan from future games. His employer also fired him after reviewing video of the incident.
As most of you know, it’s been revealed that Keller and her fiancé are internet content creators who asked their followers to fund their trip to the game.
According to reports, Keller’s fiancé was wearing a body-camera and the couple were allegedly seeking reaction from Philly fans.
If that’s indeed true, it’s safe to say that everyone is in the wrong. While you can’t let the Eagles fan off the hook for his harsh language, you also can’t ignore the fact that the Packers couple were completely in the wrong as well.
There’s been a twist in the viral Eagles fan berating Packers fan video.
The fan who caught Caldwell on camera is named Alex Basara and it sure seems like he was looking for some confrontation based on this GoFundMe.

The unfortunate thing is that the majority of Eagles fans are simply loyal, die-hard football fans who aren’t looking for trouble.
Every single fanbase has their share of bad apples. However, this incident along with Carter’s comments help feed into the old Philly fan narrative.
What are your thoughts on Carter’s comments?
More importantly, what is your stance on the ugly incident that unfolded last Sunday???
