The Philadelphia Eagles have formally accepted an invitation from President Donald Trump to celebrate their recent Super Bowl victory at the White House, and there is a lot to be said about it on social media.

The Eagles defeated the Chiefs, 40-22, in Super Bowl 59 at the Caesars Superdome last month. This was Philadelphia’s second Super Bowl win, as they previously defeated the New England Patriots when Nick Foles was starting at quarterback. At that time, the team elected not to visit Trump at the White House.

There was also some speculation about the Eagles and their White House visit this time around. However, President Trump has officially invited the Eagles to the White House.

“We sent the invite and they enthusiastically accepted,” the White House official wrote in an email, per USA Today Sports.

The team is now working out a date and time to celebrate their win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
