David Bakhtiari Returns to Packers as Offensive Line Coach, Promises Stronger Protection in 2025

Bakhtiari, who spent over a decade protecting Packers quarterbacks, retired after the 2024 season due to persistent knee injuries. Instead of stepping away from the game entirely, he has chosen to pass on his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of Green Bay’s offensive linemen.

“This team has given me everything, and now it’s time for me to give back,” Bakhtiari said in his introductory press conference. “We’re going to build the strongest, smartest, and toughest offensive line in the league.”

During his playing career, Bakhtiari was widely regarded as one of the NFL’s best left tackles, earning multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections while anchoring Green Bay’s offensive line.
