Dave Portnoy tore into the New York Jets for an embarrassing viral moment before their humiliating 40-14 loss to Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon.
Footage of the Jets walking out at Highmark Stadium circulated widely online, showing a staff member carrying a boombox with Coolie’s Gangsta’s Paradise blasting out.
The staff member was stood directly alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he led his team onto the field for what turned out to be one of their most alarming displays of the season so far.
Sharing the footage onto his own social media feed, Portnoy wrote: ‘No matter how embarrassing you think your team is you aren’t the Jets.’
Plenty of fans were in agreement, with one replying to the Barstool founder saying: ‘Dave, it’s already at rock bottom man. Absolutely no need to pour napalm in the wound.’
Another said: ‘I hate being a Jets fan. It’s an absolutely embarrassing organization all around.’

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets endured new humiliation against the Buffalo Bills on the field
But before the game, he was filmed walking out alongside a boombox at Highmark Stadium
A different follower wrote: ‘Every time I feel bad being a Dolphins fan I think of the Jets and it makes me feel just a little bit better.’
The 40-14 loss left the Jets starting at the ruins of their season as they slumped to a 4-12 record for the season.
Rodgers admitted after the game that he benched himself for Tyrod Taylor with the Jets still scoreless in the fourth quarter.
‘I mean, it was 33-0, we were sitting there & I said at some point probably go to Tyrod (Taylor) here, huh?
‘Then the next play (the Bills) threw a screen for a touchdown. So it was 40-0.’
The Jets end their miserable season back at MetLife Stadium on Sunday against Miami Dolphins.
Rodgers’ future beyond there is deeply uncertain. The 41-year-old could retire and even if he decides to keep playing, there is no guarantee the Jets will take him back.
The Jets would owe Rodgers a $35million option bonus if they choose to bring him back for 2025.
