Commander sign former Eagles tight end ahead of Week 16

The Commanders (9-5) host the Eagles (12-2) on Sunday in a gigantic NFC East matchup, and Washington just signed Tyree Jackson.

The former quarterback turned tight end will join the Commanders’ practice squad ahead of Week 16.

The Giants waived Jackson from injured reserve with an injury settlement before the start of the regular season, and he most recently had a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks.

Last January, Jackson joined the Giants’ practice squad Aug. 30 after failing to make the Eagles’ 53-man roster after training camp.
