The ‘Wizard of Boz’ has been nothing short of magical in his 10th year during this fantastic 2024 season. The Pittsburgh Steelers have relied on Chris Boswell’s leg to secure several important victories, with Boswell hitting 34 field goals heading into the Week 14 contest against the Cleveland Browns.
In the second half of the contest, Boswell tied a historic Pittsburgh Steelers record when he connected on his second field goal of the day. Boswell’s 54-yard field goal in Week 14 was his 36th made this season, tying the most by a Steelers kicker in franchise history, and a record he set himself in 2021.
With the second half of Week 14’s contest still to play, as well as four more games remaining in the 2024 season, it’s safe to say Boswell will leave this record far behind.
Chris Boswell’s 11th FG from 50 yards ties his single-season record of 36.

This legendary season by Boswell should not only be studied for years to come but also warrant MVP consideration if and when the Steelers kicker shatters the NFL record of 44 field goals made in a single season.
