It won’t be a shock if the Kansas City Chiefs are aggressive this offseason after losing Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kansas City was looking to win its third straight Super Bowl title but things didn’t work out against Philadelphia. Well, the offseason is here and there’s no reason why the Chiefs can’t make another deep run next year and maybe even get revenge against the Eagles.
The Chiefs will need to be strategic this offseason because they have roster holes but not a ton of cap flexibility. USA Today’s Jacob Camenker made a list of predicted free agent signings for each team and had Baltimore Ravens two-time Pro Bowler as his pick for the Chiefs.
“Could Stanley actually land with the Chiefs? Kansas City is slightly over the cap, so opening the space needed to sign him would take some work,” Camenker said. “That said, if Patrick Mahomes restructures his contract, the Chiefs may be able to free up enough space to make some splashes. Signing Stanley, who has long been a quality left tackle in Baltimore, would qualify.”
The Chiefs obviously could use reinforcements for the offensive line and Stanley is one of the better options going to the open market. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and is just 30 years old. He made $7.5 million in 2024
Kansas City needs to put a specific effort into bolstering the offensive line and this prediction is a good way to do so. Hopefully, the Chiefs can get something like this done.
