All three of the Bills’ potential Wild Card opponents have one thing in common that should excite Bills Mafia

The Buffalo Bills are waiting to see who they’ll play in the Wild Card round, with three teams sitting in positions to claim the No. 7 seed. The Cincinnati BengalsDenver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins all have paths to make it into the playoffs based on the outcomes of Week 18.

For the Bills, all three of these teams pose their own potential challenges, but one thing points to a potential advantage for Buffalo. All three of these teams have failed to perform well against teams with a winning record.

Beating good teams is hard. The Bills are 5-3 against teams with a .500 record or better. Two of their three losses on the year have come against playoff teams, dropping games to the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. Their only other loss was a surprise, losing to the Los Angeles Rams.

The Broncos and the Dolphins are both lesser opponents. Buffalo dominated Miami in their two meetings this year, and the Broncos, although fighting for a playoff spot, are still a team on the rise trying to sort through some issues.

Cincinnati poses the biggest potential threat. Their offense, with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, have the ability to pile on points with the best of them. Over their last three games, the Bengals have averaged just over 30 points per game, with Burrow playing at an incredibly high level — so much so that he’s thrown his hat in the ring for the MVP conversation.

Every team has a chance on any given day, but the three potential Wild Card opponents having losing records against good teams should inspire confidence in Bills Mafia.
