Cleveland Browns knew firsthand going into the game against the Kansas City Chiefs that Kareem Hunt can cause some real issues running the ball. Yes, that is still the case with Hunt even if he is not in his prime anymore.
Hunt ran the ball hard in Cleveland and had multiple chunk plays on the ground in the Chiefs 21-7 win over the Browns. The Chiefs running back carried the ball 13 times for 45 yards in his return back to Cleveland for the first time since spending the last five years with the Browns.
Even after leaving Cleveland, Hunt is still beloved in the city that he grew up near. Fans gave him a warm welcome home and Hunt admitted it was a bit weird being on the other side.
“You know it was weird being on the other sideline and running out of a different tunnel. But, it felt good to go out on that field again and see some of my brothers I have played with for the last five years,” Hunt said after the game. “I wish them and the program the best going forward.”
