Pittsburgh Steelers chances to clinch playoff berth Sunday skyrocket with Dolphins

The chances that the Pittsburgh Steelers can clinch a playoff berth on Sunday have increased significantly after the Miami Dolphins fell to the Houston Texans 20-12. Pittsburgh will clinch a berth in the postseason if Pittsburgh wins over the Philadelphia Eagles or the Indianapolis Colts lose to the Denver Broncos. They can still get any possible seed.

The Dolphins will now have to hope that teams, such as the Denver Broncos or Los Angeles Chargers, lose enough games to get them into the playoffs, but the possible teams that can get into the AFC field continue to dwindle as teams gain more separation from one another.

In addition the Dolphins losing, the Baltimore Ravens have inched closer to the Steelers with a win over the New York Giants. If the Steelers win next week in Baltimore, they will win the AFC North outright and clinch a top four seed in the AFC playoff field. That would also give them a guaranteed playoff game at home.
