4 Steelers voted as repeat Pro Bowl selections

The Pittsburgh Steelers will send four players to the Pro Bowl Games in Orlando next month, and each will be in familiar surroundings.

Defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, outside linebacker T.J. Watt, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and kicker Chris Boswell were voted to participate as starters in the Pro Bowl Games. All have previously been selected.

Heyward has been voted in for the seventh time in his career. Watt, who was voted by teammates as the Steelers’ MVP on Wednesday, is also a seventh-time selection.

Fitzpatrick was honored for fifth time, and Boswell for a second time.

• Watt has 61 tackles, 40 solo, with 11.5 sacks, 19 tackles for loss, six forced fumbles, four passes batted down and two fumble recoveries. He also has 27 quarterback hits and three strip sacks. He recorded his 100th career sack in Week 5, becoming the NFL’s second fastest to reach that milestone in 109 games (Reggie White in 96 games).

• Heyward, at age 35, has made 70 tackles, 35 solo, with eight sacks, 12 tackles for loss and eight passes batted down.

• Fitzpatrick has 93 tackles, 60 solo, this season, along with four passes defensed, a forced fumble and an interception.

• Boswell had made 40 of 43 field goal attempts, including all 12 tries from beyond 50 yards, and all 33 point-after attempts this season.

The Pro Bowl Games will be held Feb. 2 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. In addition to skill competitions, the Pro Bowl Games are capped by an AFC vs. NFC flag football game.
