The Miami Dolphins have cut ties with former star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham, who signed with the Dolphins in hopes of creating a top-tier trio with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, never got going, and even as the Dolphins make a playoff push, they do not see the value in having Beckham on the roster.
Instead, Beckham could look to latch on with another contender. Beckham has played in nine games this year but has just nine receptions for 55 yards in an offense that has not found a consistent role for him.
So, who could the contender be that scoops up Beckham? With the Steelers dealing with a George Pickens injury, it sounds like the team could use some wide receiver help. They passed on K.J. Osborn and did not even put in a claim for the wide receiver. There is no guarantee that they will add Beckham either, but someone with his pedigree and skillset is something that the Steelers do not have in this room, with or without Pickens in the room.
If the Steelers add Beckham, he could play inside or outside as a route runner type. However, the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Rams, two teams that Beckham has starred on in the past, could look to land Beckham instead. Since he knows the offense at both spots, it would not take long for him to get involved in the gameplan like it would in Pittsburgh.
